System
The evolution of implementation and usage of PV modules will allow us to make from photovoltaic energy a part of everyday life. Its deployment in our countries on building or in mobile usage, but also in developing countries to increase the energy access for local communities and the development of their autonomy.
Building Integration
Apollon Solar and his partner JCJ consulting work on the building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) and develop an original patented steel roof integrated system named SolarClip for unframed modules. SolarClip is entirely made by lacquered steel streamlining which result in a much lower cost as conventional BIPV system (objective of 50% savings on the material and manpower).
The streamlining and the design choices for SolarClip allow a very simple installation on industrial or private individual’s roofs thanks to its limited number of components. Its elaboration from a sheet metal and its original tie system entail a perfect water tightness without additional material. SolarClip can also be deliver as a complete roof solution including thermal isolation. It is even possible to use SolarClip as roofing material without photovoltaic modules : the modules can be consider later. Finally, SolarClip is design to allow the cooling air flooding under the modules to be evacuated or to be use in a heating system.
At the moment, the feasibility announcement of the CEBTP (the french building and civil engineering experimental and study center) is pending and its mass production will begin at the end of 2010.

Intelligent Optimization System for Electricity Production
A photovoltaic installation is not only composed of photovoltaic modules. A large part of the production efficiency will depend on the electronics' quality dedicated to the optimization and the regulation of the photovoltaic energy production. This electronic, commonly called Balance Of System (BOS), is composed of a power regulation-transformation system (inverter) and can also include an energy storage device (battery).
The BOS stays a non-negligible source of investment in a solar installation. The objectives of Apollon Solar are to reduce the BOS cost with innovative and technical means and also to extend its functionalities by integrating a monitoring system in order to optimize individual solar panels’ productivity.
